Grace mercy and peace to you from God the Father and our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.

July was very cold especially in the morning and sunset. We received good rains the third week.

  • We were shocked to hear about the illness and death of our Br in Christ.
  • Lester got seriously ill to an extent my wife was filled with fear to lose him.
  • Eunice my wife's sister lost a son.
  • I was invited to preach at Mutasa District Fellowship.
  • The third week l was doing personal evangelism at the same week distributing some used clothing donated by the local church.
  • The 4th week l attended burial of sister Gomwe.
  • The end of the month the church at Bazel hosted a big Sunday fellowship.
  • I lost some tomato plants due to a very cold weather, l decided to plant wheat even though the time was due.

On the 3rd day of June we lost Br Caleb Mafusire, the 3rd July We lost Br Tafirenyika Gwinya a tall and strong man and a teacher who worked at Mutare school of preaching. He later preached at Chakohwa and Chipinge church of Christ. He was selected to chair Manicaland Gospel meeting 2019 and resigned 2022.He lost a wife in December 2024 and in six months he followed after her. He suffered shortly with stomach pains and had a successful operation but was difficulty to breathe that marked the end of his life. He was 65 years old. Together with Br Mumba we slept at the mourning home, singing the whole night. The 6th he was buried. Br Tanhera preached, Br Mukoyi song led. People who attended were 2500.

On my way back home my wife phoned me and cried with a guttural voice thinking that Lester is no more our son. l cried thinking that he was dead and blaming myself for helping others when my children perished during my absence. With a concrete voice I ordered her to the nearest clinic and the child's temperature was 40 degrees Celsius. I arrived when he was treated he recovered instantly. l prayed to God crying for my boy. A day passed and a call came of Eunice's son, Pride, who passed on at age 1 and half years. My wife joined her sister Rujeko to Honde Valley the 9th was burial. Eunice broke the marriage with her husband at the same time. The man was ruthless, refusing to give money to the wife for hospital bills. They were no longer together when the child was seriously ill. It was sad and painful the last time of the birth. l went to see her in the hospital after operation the husband never attended l paid for most of medicines needed.

The second week l was preparing fully a sermon to be preached at Watsomba church of Christ. Every year Mutasa District hosted a fellowship. The dates were set for the beginning of the month but due to inconvenient circumstances it was postponed. I preached on Saturday night the 12th on the topic Rejoice ln The Journey  Phil 4:4. It is hard to preach especially after supper again when the time to sleep comes. The response was positive. On Sunday Br Mukoyi preached lsa 41:10. Br Sadzi a student from MSOP song led. The giving was $99 and the people who attended were 300.

The third week l was doing evangelism and inviting new converts to attend the big Sunday fellowship. I studied with Tongai Ngadze, Pondo, Kamundimu, Chidzikwe, and Maboreke. l thank God they attended at the fellowship.

I received used clothing from the Hill View church members in Dangamvura on the 29th of June. Due to a programme that was not favourable the day for distribution was delayed. On the 19th we distributed equally and everyone was happy. The congregation that helped us is very small with 10 adults and children. They reach 30-40 people in attendance. Last year l was invited to preach, and they invited me to preach again this year in July but due to an inconvenient situation it was postponed to August.

Sister Gomwe was buried on the 23rd at Dangamvura cemetery. She was a cancer patient since 2019 until her rest. She was an ECD teacher at Chikanga primary. Bro Gomwe is a preacher at Chikanga phase 1 church of Christ. She left a husband two daughters one boy and grandchildren. She was 63 years old. Br Mumba was present all the way from Rusape people attended were 1500.

The church at Bazel bought paint for the iron fence poles .Now it looks new and we were ready to receive visitors. 138 people attended.  Br Marunga gave a Bible teaching, “What shall we do in response to Apostle Peter's sermon on the day of the Pentecost?” Br Gushure preached about Unity. Br Sadzi song led and did a good job. Br Kamutambo presided at the Lord's table. He encouraged people to give pledges of cement. He set an example and donated 4 bags. Together with my wife we donated 4 bags of cement. My sister Christine gave 2 bags, and Br Marunga gave 8. So far we have 10 bags at hand.

Last year  we introduced pledges as we completed our ring beam. This year we are hoping by the end of the year to reach gable stage. We are still in need of a builder's wage. By God's grace we will work towards the building.

I want to thank you for your support and love. May the Almighty God be with you all.

Yours in Christ
