Dear Brethren.

Greetings to you all from Zimbabwe. It is our hope and prayer that this report finds you all in good health. We thank God for his guidance during the month of January 2026. As we begin a new year, we are filled with hope and gratitude for your continued support. Your generosity in 2025 made our mission work possible, and we pray this partnership will last for years to come.

Door-to-Door Outreach in Chipunza Village

In the first week of January, our team—including two young men, Tadiwa and Blessing, and Mr. Ndikudze—visited homes throughout Chipunza Village. We started each day with singing, scripture reading, and prayer. Our efforts brought the message of salvation to many families, and we witnessed the power of the gospel to transform lives.

Makoni District Outreach

During the second week, seven preachers joined together for an outreach in Tsanzaguru. The resident preacher, Simon Mubvumbi, was deeply impressed by the results. Four souls were added to the Lord’s church.

Jail Ministry at Littlekraal Farm Prison

In the third week, William Mukuze and I continued our outreach to Littlekraal Farm Prison in Nyazura. We shared the Word of God, offering messages of encouragement and exhortation, urging inmates to resist temptation, turn away from sin and commit their lives to Jesus. As Philippians 1:5 reminds us, “"because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now,” our partnership in the gospel is vital for bringing the message of hope and salvation to those behind prison walls.

Visit to Chitora Primary School

In the fourth week, brother Nesbert Zvinzveku and I spent three days at Chitora Primary School, preaching at assemblies and connecting with the school community. The school hopes to start a congregation, inspired by a former teacher who is a church member.

One of the highlights was touring the school’s three gardens, which play a vital role in supporting students—many of whom come from poor families and walk long distances to attend school.

  • First Garden: We saw lush green vegetables and pumpkin plants thriving.
  • Second Garden: This garden featured well-tended potato beds, which were nearly ready for harvest in early February.
  • Third Garden: Here, we found healthy green corn (maize) growing.

The school uses some of the produce to cook meals for every child, ensuring that even those from the most disadvantaged backgrounds receive nourishing food. Other crops are sold in the community, with the income supporting school programs and helping to sustain the gardens.
Please pray that a church will be established at Chitora Primary School, and that these gardens continue to bless the students and their families

Memorial Service for Tambudzai Chipunza

On January 24th, the church at Mutungagore, along with family, friends and community members gathered at the homestead of Tambudzai Chipunza to celebrate her life. She was a devoted woman whose faith and commitment to the church touched many. Brother Mukuze, the guest speaker, spoke about the importance of supporting one another in faith, drawing his inspiration from the account of Aaron and Hur supporting Moses in Exodus 17:12.

Ladies’ Gathering

Throughout January, the ladies at Mutungagore met every Thursday morning for fellowship and refreshments. Their theme was “A Faith to Celebrate,” inspired by 2 Timothy 1:5.

Church Attendance, Preaching, and Giving

I preached three Sundays, while Brother Nyarukowa preached once. Brother Zumbika led the adult Bible class, studying Ephesians chapters 1–3. Our average Sunday attendance was 27, and weekly offerings averaged $15.

Prayer Requests

Please pray for our mission and family, and for our neighbors in Mozambique and Malawi, who suffered devastating floods in early January. Over 640,000 people in Mozambique were left homeless, and many lost their lives. We also ask for prayers that the Lord will provide us with transportation for our mission work.
Above all, we thank you—our brothers and sisters in Oregon City—for your unwavering financial support and love. May the Lord bless you all.

In Christ,

Nhamo and Brenda Mumba
