C – before E or I, as in “certain”
      Before anything else “cookie”
CH – as in “church”
D – as in “dark” *
E – as in “met”
F – as in “freaky”
G – before E or I sounds like H in “hallelujah!”
      Before other letters, as in “gargantuan”
H – ALWAYS SILENT! NO EXCEPTIONS!
I – as in “ink”
J – sounds like H in “house”
K – Infrequently used, sound equal to English.
L – as in “louse”
LL – sounds like Y as in “yogurt”*
M – as in “moon”
N – as in “normal”
Ñ – Sounds like NY in “canyon” (Which is “cañón” in Spanish… now you know why.)
O – as in “hokey”
P – as in “peculiar” *
QU – Sounds like K in “kangaroo”
R – as in “rhododendron” *
S – as in “silly”
T – as in “trick”
U – as in “rude”
V – sounds like B in “burrito”
W – Not used in Spanish. Pronounce it in English if you like.
X – Usually same as English. *
Y – as in “yo-yo”
Z – sounds like S as in “stinky”. NEVER like Z in “zebra”.
