Hearts Overflowing with Gratitude

  • For Jesus’ sacrifice and the forgiveness of sins.
  • For the teachers who selflessly teach the Word of God each week. Thanks to Rachel Murphy who is revamping the children’s curriculum. Thanks to all the teachers who taught last quarter and the promise of this new quarter with new teachers.
  • Grace Burnham turned 107 years old. May God continue to bless her.
  • Charlie Swalwell ended up collecting 60 backpacks to go to "My Father's Heart."
  • Young at Heart had a record number (25) at the Olive Garden.
  • We are thankful for the opportunities to reach out to the community: We feed 31 children every weekend through Backpack Buddies. We are also thankful for the generosity shown to our “Adopt-a-family” families for Christmas. Obria was able to use our building to host a lunch for area-wide religious leaders to announce their new name and continued advocacy for the unborn.
  • We’re going to have to bring more song books to the Marquis each week as more of us come to encourage the residents and more of them are joining us in the songs.
  • For the many who came to the All Church Communication Night and for all the wonderful things that were reported.
  • For the great response to our new “prayer ministry” on Sunday afternoons.
  • For Jim Bradshaw putting up the new speakers in the foyer and nursery
  • For "Startin' Over" CDs now available on YouTube. Thanks to Kyle Murphy for posting these.
  • We are thankful for Jennie Reynolds and all of the wonderful ladies’ activities.
  • For the good growing pains the teens are experiencing as their classroom continues to grow and fill up. Thankful for Steve Haney’s faithful service.
  • For your wonderful response to the need of a food train for Mary Mitchell.
  • We are thankful that involvement and attendance is up. For new members!
  • Eduardo and Aracely are doing a fine work among our Spanish speakers. We are thankful that their numbers and involvement are going up.
  • For Gairy Reynolds taking responsibility for the yard (looks great).
  • We’re thankful for all of our faithful preachers in Zimbabwe and India who faithfully teach God’s Word despite the many obstacles they face.
  • God is so good! There is so much to be thankful for - We are blessed to be part of such a loving church.
