Ron Writes

May God be Glorified

Hopefully, this will get you up-to-date on some important things: Our teens are going on a mission this week to help build housing for the homeless who are in transition. This is being overseen by the Agape church with Ron Clark. The kids will be staying on the Columbia campus and working each day at Agape Village on Powell right off the 205 freeway...

It has been a great summer. ASBA was wonderful! Thanks to Allen Berreth for directing again this year and also a big thanks to all the teachers and staff... Steve Haney attended most of the Camps at Yamhill. Many of our members also participated as camp staff and most of our kids went to camp this summer...Our teens did a fabulous job kicking off this year’s TNTs...

We added Nhamo Mumba preaching at the Magamba Church in Rusape, Zimbabwe to the missions we support. This means that the OC church is fully supporting 6 men here and abroad to preach the gospel...The Keizer church has changed directions with their Hispanic outreach, so beginning in September Eduardo Gandara will be working fulltime with the OC church...

In September, all of our ministries should be in full swing...Our Koine Connection will be on the 15th... As our Ministries with a Mission restart at least one new one will be added. Beginning on Sep. 8, we will begin a prayer ministry. Anyone who would like to meet after the singing at the Marquee can come and discuss our prayer needs and pray. This should be a powerful ministry...The ladies will be having their annual retreat at Camp Yamhill on Sep. 13-15...Oregon City will be hosting the area-wide 5th Sunday singing on Sep. 29. Three outstanding worship leaders have been asked to come and direct our singing that afternoon (5:00-6:30)...Our Young@Heart continues to be a special time of fellowship, especially to us older members...

Steve Partlow hasn’t been shy about his upcoming retirement at the end of April. John Jones is also looking toward retirement very soon.
